חזון התכנית:
לאפשר לכל בת שמגיעה מהתפוצות לשרת במסגרת תומכת ומלווה, המכינה אותה לחיים עצמאיים בארץ, לעודד עליה ולהוות גשר בין התפוצות לישראל.

הגדרה:
שרות לאומי משמעותי לבנות בודדות מהתפוצות, קרי- בנות שהגיעו לארץ לבדן, ללא עורף משפחתי של ההורים, בין שעשו עליה ובין שלא עשו עליה אך הן בעלות דרכון ישראלי או מספר זהות ישראלי ובלבד שיש להן פטור מהצבא או שהן בעלות דרכון זר וזכאיות לויזת מתנדב.

פרטי התכנית:
בנות השרות בתכנית שלם משתלבות בכל תחומי השרות הקיימים בהתאם לכשרונותיהן, רצונותיהן ויכולותיהן.
תהליך המיונים והקבלה לשרות זהה לתהליך הכללי בארץ ומתקיים עפ"י רוב מידי שנה במהלך חודש פברואר. התהליך כולל בתוכו סיור במקומות השרות השונים, ראיונות קבלה והשמה במערכת.

תנאי השרות:
במהלך השנה הבנות מלוות ע"י צוות בת עמי הכולל בתוכו בין השאר את רכזת התכנית – דורית מילוא ומנהלת התכנית – אסנת רותם.

מעטפת פיזית:
יש אפשרות לגור בדירות המיועדות רק לבנות הבודדות. הדירה מותאמת לצרכי הבת, עם מקום נרחב לציוד האישי, מקרר, תנור בישול, מכונת כביסה וWIFI .

ניתן לגור עם ישראליות ולקבל מכונת כביסה וכן מקום מספק לציוד האישי של הבת.

קבלת דמי כיס מוגדלים לסיוע בהתנהלות עצמאית יומיומית.

ליווי לפי הצורך של עוסי"ת מטעם בת עמי המסייעת לצלוח את קשיי ההסתגלות לארץ, ליווי אישי של הרכזות, אפשרות למשפחות מאמצות ברחבי הארץ, קיום סדנאות הכנה לחיים, התנהלות פיננסית, הכנה ללימודים אקדמאיים ועוד. בנוסף ישנה העשרה רוחנית, תורנית, חברתית ואידיאולוגית (אולי לכתוב ציונית/ישראלית?) בימי עיון שונים במהלך השנה וכן שיתופי פעולה עם עמותות שונות כדוגמת "אורי" של נפש בנפש ו"הבסיס" של מייקל לוין.

Program Vision:
To enable every young woman (18-20) from the diaspora to serve within a supportive and guiding framework, preparing her for independent life in Israel, promoting her integration, and serving as a bridge between the diaspora and Israel.

Definition:
Significant national service for young women from the diaspora, who arrived in the country alone, without family support, whether they have made Aliyah (immigrated to Israel) independently or not, but possess either an Israeli passport or an Israeli ID number, provided they are exempt from military service or hold a foreign passport and are eligible for volunteer visa.

Program Details:
The young women serving in the SHALEM program integrate into all existing service areas according to their talents, preferences, and abilities.

The selection and acceptance process for this service is similar to the general process in the country and takes place annually in February. The process includes touring various service locations, admission interviews, and placement within the system.

Service Conditions:
Throughout the year, the girls are accompanied by the Bat Ami team, which includes, among others, the program coordinator, Dorit Millo, and the program manager, Asnat Rotem.

Accommodations:
There is an option to live in apartments designated exclusively for participants from the Diaspora. The apartment is tailored to the needs of the young women, with ample space for personal belongings, a refrigerator, cooking oven, washing machine, and WIFI.

It is possible to live with Israel young women and receive a washing machine as well as sufficient space for the girl's personal equipment.

Pocket money is provided to assist with daily independent living expenses.

Emotional Support:
Support as needed by Bat Ami social worker assisting in overcoming the challenges of adapting to the country, personal guidance from coordinators, opportunities for involvement with adoptive families across the country, workshops on life skills, financial

management, preparation for academic studies, and more. Additionally, there is spiritual, cultural, social, and ideological enrichment (Zionist/Israeli?) through various discussion days throughout the year, as well as collaborations with various organizations such as "Uri" from “Nefesh B'Nefesh” and "HaBasics" from Michael Levin.
